Vote, talk to a neighbour, vote again, then reveal. The class votes with hands; you tap the counts in. Each question is a real protein's chain cut into four stretches, and the class guesses which stretch AlphaFold is least sure about.
Why there is no room code
A room code would need a server to pass votes between phones, and Fold Commons runs no servers and keeps no accounts. So the votes stay in the room: hands up, counted by you, typed in as numbers. When you close the page, the counts are gone.
1. First vote. Hands up for each stretch; tap in how many.
2. Talk to a neighbour. Find someone who voted differently and say why you chose yours.
Timer (optional):
3. Second vote. Hands up again; tap in how many.

You predicted a prediction: these are AlphaFold's own confidence scores (mean pLDDT over each stretch), not measurements of the real protein. A low stretch is often a flexible part, or a piece like a signal at the start of the chain that is cut off later.
Exit ticket
Print this part (⌘/Ctrl-P) and hand it out. Answer by hand; nothing is collected.
- Which stretch did you vote for first, and did you change it after talking?
- What did your neighbour say that you had not thought of?
- The answer was the stretch AlphaFold is least sure about. Is that the same as the part of the protein that matters least? Why or why not?
